Dear Michael, Your work is breathtaking. The aquatints
are particularly wonderful. I'd love to decorate my entire house with
them. Much love, Bea | |
My response to your work is eloquently evoked in the words
of Eudora Welty: "Indelibility itself is subjective, is an image; and
with the kite up it is so much better not to talk kite at all. Because if it
flies, a marvelous one-time-only construction in thin air, that is
everything, that is enough." Give us more to see!
One look at the Archway and I AM in Volterra. But it is
hard to pick a favorite; all of your pieces - landscapes, aquatints,
monotypes - transport the viewer. And with each viewing, I see something new
and exciting. DEE | |
Michael, I am really taken by the landscapes. They take me
to Italy and give me the feeling of the peace that I usually feel when
visiting the small hill towns. Sue Lione
Michael, Thanks for the update. Terrific site, and I
especially enjoyed your new monotypes, which were vivid, and seemed quite a
departure from some of the earlier darker ones. Liked the aquatints, too. I
just regret having so few $$ :(.
Wow! Your pieces look fantastic. So can we negotiate a
flat rate for you to do pieces throughout our entire house? Maybe you can
put us on a payment plan.
Hi, Michael. The new website looks great! Your Tuscan
paintings hum with the warmth of the Tuscan sun, your aquatints are
breathtaking, and your monotypes are magnificent as usual! Keep up the fine
work!! xoxo | |
cor, like ur work mate! | |
BEAUTIFUL WORK! | |
Hi Michael, Great to see your recent work. And your site's
wonderful. My best to you. :^)ackie
Wow, Breath taking. A real feel to Italy in the
landscapes, Silk Aquatinits are Excellent too! Good luck with the future.

Well, I finally have had an opportunity to see your work.
I love the colors in the landscapes, that golden Tuscan orange brown has
been captured well. I am not ordinarily a fan of abstract paintings but the
colors breathe in the Monotypes (what a dreary name for something so
colorful). | |
Michael I love your work - how do you manage to capture the light
so effectively? I have recently visited Tuscany, and tried to paint the
beauty in watercolours. Perhaps summer is too green, but I failed miserably.
Michael: Enjoyed viewing your beautiful works... I feel a
kinship to them! Good fortune in your continued endeavours
Thanks for the site - I loved the work here.
I like Three Arches a great deal.
I liked the monotypes | |
I especially like your silk aquatints
Hi, Thank you for giving me the opportunity to see your
beautiful work on the Internet! I was very impressed with the Italian
landscapes; I lived in that country for a few years and I was born and
raised in Europe, probably that is the reason they are so meaningful to me.
I assumed that you were a European artist! It was shocking for me to learn
that you are an American! I truly wonder how could you understand Europe
that well, that intimately. Congratulations! Your landscapes are lyrical,
they touch me deeply, also because they are meditative and reflect a mind accustomed
to solitude...somewhat like me. I also paint and write poetry as a hobby and
search out the works of other artists, however over the many years I do
this, I only encountered a couple of painters like you. Please let me know
where could I see more of your work? All the best,
Michael, I like your stuff. It's like you paint with clouds.
At day's end 1. that was neat. I have never paid much attention to
abstract work other than what i have come into contact with from studies. That's
the first time I have ever
experienced a piece of work like that instead of just looking at it as a composition or great
use of space. I think that's the first time I've done that with any piece in a long time.
something about getting caught up in studying art so much, you stop being a viewer and you
become this hunter. blah. that was neat.
Thank you so much. Your work is just lovely. I recently
discovered monotypes and will pass yr site on to my classmates.
Wow! I am truly moved and speechless. |
